sunday in the park w/master liping julia zhu, L.Ac

On at least one Sunday every month Liping Julia Zhu conducts an informal class in Golden Gate Park at 6th & Fulton Avenues to teach and demonstrate the practice of Qi Gong as well as the Great Swimming Dragon Tai Yi Chuan (Form). Liping Zhu studied intensively with Master Yu Anren, whose family originated the Swimming Dragon Tai Yi Form. Master Yu is heir to the Wudang Tai Yi Swimming Dragon Chuan and is from Guilin in Guangxi province. In 1996 Liping Zhu won a gold medal at the International Martial Arts Tournament for her performance of the Swimming Dragon Chuan. Master Yu has directed Liping Zhu to introduce this form to the United States and has authorized her to write the first book about Swimming Dragon Chuan and Riding the Wind Sword. She is currently the spokesperson for Swimming Dragon Form in the United States. Ms. Zhu currently conducts on-going Tai Yi classes in San Francisco. She also holds Qi Gong workshops and classes. In addition to the aforementioned, Ms. Liping Zhu is a State of California-licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, Chinese medicine health practitioner and runs a private practice in San Francisco. Currently she is also an instructor/lecturer at the College of Chinese Traditional Medicine in San Francisco as well as a perennial lecturer at the Tassajara Zen Mountain Center in the remote Ventana Wilderness area of California.
