Nov. 16th, 2005

Eastern New Orleans, LA

This was the engine that I was using to spread the slag on the newly built bridge over the Blind Rigolets, also known as the Little Rigolets. The old wooden bridge was knocked out by Hurricane Katrina and some of that bridge can be seen on the right far bank of the pass. It is amazing how fast the new cement bridge was built, just maybe the people fixing the I-10 to the north shore can learn a thing or two from this company.

The difference between CSX re-building is that it is a private company.
The I-10 bridge will (should have been by now) be re-built by the state.....

Nice shot, Paul. The railroad was always quicker and better at building than anyone.

That sure looks brand new all right. Boy that engine looks so big in landscape view. Nice shot Paul. Have a nice Thanksgiving too!
