We proceed to the cemetery where a proper Matzevah was built to solemnize the place where almost all the Jews in town were shot in July, 1941. About 50% of the town's population was marched in their underwear to this cemetery for "Freethinkers", shot, and thrown into an unmarked mass grave. The town archivist related the story to us. We listened in dismay and horror. We prayed. We cried.
