Central Australia Wildlife

Central Australia Wildlife

OK, so we did not see a single wild kangaroo, camel or Perentie Goanna in Central Australia! But other wildlife opportunities abounded.
New wild bird and reptile species were seen and photographed at places like the Botanical Gardens, Desert Park and waterholes. Black-footed Rock
Wallabies were seen at Heavitree Gap, and grasshoppers everywhere one walked. In fact I missed photogaphing some new birds because
I was fascinated by some meaty looking grass hoppers! I had not even researched what wildlife might be seen in the Northern Territory
but there were surprises around every corner and I was thrilled with the birds, bugs and other critters we saw.
