Big Trees

Karri eucalypts ( Eucalyptus diversicolor ) are native to the wetter high rainfall zones
regions of south west Western Australia and are one of the tallest hardwoods in the world.
Stands of Karri forest can be seen near Pemberton and visitors can also view or climb the
75m high Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree or the 61m high Gloucester Tree which were originally
fire lookout patrol towers.

The Walpole wilderness area in south west Western Australia, is the home of gigantic tingle
trees. Near Walpole and Denmark is the Valley of the Giants and Tree Top Walk.
