Eggleston Abbey

I have created a similar result with these star trails as I had last time I attempted them. I thought the German Grenade effect in the trail was down to moving the appature level between exposures, but this time I made sure the appature stopped the same. Any idea's ???

Ooh nice trails! Might be something to do with the temperature?

Stunning capture Kevin.
Perhaps the rotation of the earth is in the opposit direction giving double the effect.
