Landscapes of Twenthe

I love the region were i was born, and it is known as Twenthe. This region is in the east of the Netherlands. It is situated near the German Border. I love the green scenery and the side-scene landscape. Small meadows, surrounded by trees. My region has its own language, which is a kind of Saxon. And also we have a lot of rituals. These rituals are very much alive. For example in the autumn the "witte wieven" ( white wives)kidnap the young eligible men! And as legend can go, one wonders if they ever come back to this earthly world.
