The lenght of the Drauradweg is around 364km, from south Tyrol,trough eastern Tyrol,Carynthia and Slowenia, mostly along the Drau trough beautiful countryside.Just like all over Europe, the weather was maybe a bit too hot...between 34-38oC...;o((, we changed the rout at Rosegg and went to Velden and around the Wörthersee to Klagenfurt, to take the train back. Apart from one afternoon up in the mountains at Lienz and a wonderful morning up at the Triestacherlake,for a relaxing swim. We spend most of the time on the bike, before the heat got to us in the afternoon.
On the last afternoon at the Wörthersee, a thunderstorm hit the area, so no swimming..:-(((but is was refreshing enough.

the Drau	short stop	flowers everywhere	cool	a refreshing brake	just watching
Zettersfeldbahn Lienz	view of Lienz and the Dolomiten	chairlift up to Steinernen Mandl	up at ca 2300 m	a happy cow	more happy cows
the Schoberrange	steinernes Mandl	Schoberrange	wonderful place	mountains	still some green
and some snow	at the red light	and go.....	Lienz	Stadtfest	Karusell
the band	center	the Dolomiten...	in the hazy evening sun	shady trail	nice place
Triestacherlake	the old lake	a nature sanctuary	wonderful silence	the Drau	Drautal
cycling on.....	a place to stay	looking in	SHADE!!!!!!!!!	trough the wood	villagechurch
along the way	yellow	village square	farmhouse	old furniture	fresh from the farm
those cows only came out in the evening	Schloss Porcia,Spittal a.d.Drau	inside	Porcia	gate	here the come.....

I so enjoyed this journey with you.....a most colourful & picturesque gallery..every image a delight. I have toured this area also (by car)...and it takes some beating.
