It was the first weekend in November. We wanted to get away and enjoy some fall colors and vistas and hike a few trails, but didn't want to fight the crowds in the popular Tennessee areas. We decided on Northeast Alabama and Northwest Georgia.


We managed to take in:

• Noccalula Falls - Gadsden, AL
  
• Little River Canyon - Ft. Payne, AL
  
• DeSoto State Park & DeSoto Falls - Ft. Payne, AL
  
• Ridge & Valley Scenic Drive - Near Summerville, GA
  
  

The colors were just starting to turn and it was a great trip. Here are some of the sights.
