The Golden State Country & Bluegrass Festival

The year was 1974, I had just met John and his friend Steve at a party. Being
very interested in John, I finagled an invitation to ride along with them, and another
friend "Sleepy Boy" Billy Martin, to the festival. "Oh sure I like bluegrass," I lied.
(I started liking it while at the festival though, after actually hearing some bluegrass,
which was fantastic!)

It was a beautiful evening concert in Marin. The closest I got to John was sitting
next to him on a blanket. My pants did come off that night though as I had cold beer
spilled in my lap!!!!! Brrr, I took off my pants and wrapped myself in a blanket.

It took a little longer for John to get the hint.
