Portrait of a Bad Day
March 5, 1998

March 5, 1998 was a bad day. It started out bad and ended even worse. On my way home
from work, I was hit and run over by a small truck as I put tire chains on my vehicle. Things
went downhill from there.

There have been many hardships during the last seven years. Things have happened to
me and to those I love. That isn't why I'm writing, though. I am writing to say that I feel
like I can finally get beyond the bad times and that I am feeling like life is getting better.

Tomorrow, March 5, 2005, I will be in San Francisco and meeting in person some people
I have gotten to know through PBase. I am so looking forward to it.
I will be thinking about the present, not the past.

Cheryl, Oh my god. As bad as that sounds, it could have been so much worse. I am glad you are still with us. I hope your trip goes well.

I am so impressed that you managed to get the x-rays to copy. Normally, they don't let you take these home to play with. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

On this same day, Cheryl, March 5th 1998, my mother passed away, a victim of Altzheimer's Disease at age 75. It's painful, but not in the way yours is. Good on you for fighting to survive it & have a good visit.

OMG, that is just awful!! I am glad you can be so positive. Are you in a cast? Dumb question, I guess.

Say hi to Jeanne for me. ;)I'm looking forward to some wonderful shots from SF.

Crikey... just looking at the image hurts.

I am happy that you're on the mend. Have a safe and happy trip! If you have time in SFO, have your friends take you to "The Stinking Rose" restaurant (downtown on Columbus, I think?) Garlic. Mmmmm.
