Old Iron Bed Frame

I had a hard time picking photos today. I really like this photo but the photo of my cat came out really nice, too.
I wanted to save photos of my pets for snowy winter days so decided on the bed frame.

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel
1/15s f/7.1 at 33.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Wonderfull composition, a great use of DOF here and the colors are just cool. Nice, my vote.

Cool shot. I love the perspective on this. I knew right away what it was.

Have you ever seen a picture of the Joe Louis Fist Sculpture in downtown Detroit? It's a very powerful image that evokes a sense of strength and forward motion which suits the city perfectly. This reminds me of that.

cool shot. Looks almost like a hand wrapped around the post.

I like the contrast and DOF between the red of the rusted bed and the green background.

Beds at Grandma's were all these iron ones & I still think they are the greatest, even rusted, though think it's a sad end.

I know what your mean. Soon it will be too cold to go out shooting bedframes and we'd better have something saved up. This beautifully composed, wonderfully colored, surreal image was obviously taken on another planet where they may not have winter.

This is beatiful, Cheryl. Focus is perfect and the receding parts of the bed are just magical. Great shot.

I'm a big fan of rusty objects and this is excellent.

This is really nice .. I like the colours and textures ...
I used to have a bed like this (minus the rust!) It was a beauty!

Cheryl,

I like both this and the one of your cat (those eyes say, "Stand back I'm freaked out as it it!" but this one is more my kind of photo. I'm sure there are others that will like the cherry pickin' cat more, but I like the texture, shapes and DOF in this one.

Cool! I love the texture and color of rust. Nice photo. I loved the cat too! He looked a little spooked, probably by having that camera pointed at him!
