We left Bryce Canyon after four days and traveled the short distance to Zion. What a contrast! The landscapes might as well be in a different country, they are so different. It's hard to believe that most everywhere we have been in the Utah national parks is located on the Colorado Plateau. But Bryce, Zion, and Grand Canyon National Parks are part of the Grand Staircase, referring to the differences in elevation and resulting rock layers. We loved camping next to the Virgin River, and enjoyed many diverse photo opportunities in this beautiful park.
