Boobies, Frigatebirds, and More!

Besides the endemic species of wildlife that are the "main attraction" for the islands, there are a number of bird species and other life forms that are quite photogenic, albeit not unique to the Galapagos. Even if you have seen these animals elsewhere, you would probably not be able to approach them nearly as closely as we did, because the animals on these islands mostly do not fear humans. We were able to literally walk among hundreds of nesting birds on several islands without disturbing them.
