Streets Alive has been developed as a commissioned event by Charnwood Arts since the late 1990's as a town centre street arts festival. We work in partnership with Charnwood Borough Council who assist us in staging the event. It has been an important part of the Heart of Three Cities Festival for the last four years. Charnwood Arts has a long tradition of May events and usually have enormous good fortune with the weather - this year and last year that luck avoided disaster but still meant a cold and windy day with audiences braving the elements to see some great performances.
