This year (2007) celebrates the 25th Picnic in the Park in Loughborough........this medium sized market town's version of an arts based village fete....regularly drawing in excess of 3,000 people, and some years many more! Representing the interests, skills and talents of a wide range of people involved in the arts and creative activity this (now) one day event (it was three at the beginning) is firmly a local tradition which many peoples efforts and projects feed into through the year. As you can see it is relaxed, fun and full of a diverse range of activities for a multi-cultural family audience. Involving professional artists and arts workers alongside community groups, schools and participatory projects this event is another key part of Charnwood Arts 'Heart of Three Cities Festival'.
