Home needed for FIV+ cat. Kia is a very sweet 11 year-old female kitty who was given up when her owner developed health problems. Kia tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, a slow acting disease that weakens a cat's immune system. FIV is contageous to other cats, so Kia won't be able to live in the shelter cat colony rooms. We'd love to find a home either where Kia is the only cat or where she can live with other cats with FIV. FIV is not contageous to humans or dogs.
