Hippie

It's a bit like entering a time machine living in Williamsburg, VA. There is always a reminder of a different era. Often you come upon a colonist in some unusual setting as you go about your business. Imagine pumping gas along side Thomas Jefferson. Of course there are also the folks from the 1600's era who are part of Jamestown Settlement museum.

So you can imagine my amusement running into this band of student minstrels singing "House of the Rising Sun" on Merchants Square. It was like being transported back in time to the 1960's and Height-Ashbury or Harvard Square.

So what year did you say it was?

Sort of like Ann Arbor. The 60s never left.

This is far out, LC. :)

House of the Rising Sun was one of the first songs I learned on the guitar too. LOL.

I love this. It is so 1960's. And the sketch effect was well chosen for it.

Yep, a scene out of SF in the late 60's (not that I was old enough to appreciate it at the time, you understand) Great shot.

I couldn't believe how crowded they were the day we were there, it was a Thursday. We had lunch at Aroma's. Thanx for the memories. ;-)

Flashback! What a fantastic shot. I absolutely love this - the people, the setting, everything. Wonderful candid - I wish I'd taken it. :)

Very, very good. I guess the hippie thing must be something to do with the current war.
