I was a army schooled (Ft. Eustis) 67n20 and 67v20 OH6a Crew Chief. My first month, I was sent to the 765th Transportation. This was May of 1969. We were sent out on an aircraft carrier to put together cobra gunships off the coast Vung Tau, RVN. It was hot. The food was crap! What was the name of this private carrier? By the way, 765th tried to steal 2 OH6a chiefs (me) because the 765th did not have anyone to work on that aircraft. 765th was full of mad SP/5s. I had made SP/5 in 5 months. Our commander was ticked when he found us.
