Charlie and Karlie: Age Four

I would like to introduce you to Charlie and to Karlie . In case you hadn’t guessed, Charlie is the little red-headed guy, and Karlie is my granddaughter. This series of images was when both kids were four years old. Charlie and Karlie are not only best friends, but neighbors and classmates. I have never known a boy like Charlie. He is caring, cordial, loving, and mature beyond his years. He professes his love for Karlie and has already planned their wedding. Yes, I am smiling, and at the same time wondering what it is he knows about such love. When you look through these photos, you will see the feelings he has for Karlie. It is a child’s love filled with so much compassion. You will experience all of this throughout. I hope you enjoy this gallery as much as I did putting it together. It is something the two of them will treasure as they grow and more than likely, go their separate ways…and then again, maybe they won’t go separate ways. These photos were all taken spontaneously. I may have said, "Look up here," a time or two. However, the majority were taken as the two of them just went about their business. They are now both almost 8 years old, and are still inseparable... :o)

Very touching gallery. So yes...how do they get along today? This was what...four years ago? You need to add an updated photo of the two of them. :) Very awesome work.

My Dear Friend, Their love is so beautiful and inspiring! I must admit, I admire my son so much for his unwavering devotion to Karlie. It is such a rare quality these days. Her photos are always at his bedside, her name is always in his words and his love for her swells his heart every waking moment. I know that Karlie’s love for Charlie is just as powerful and resilient. I sincerely hope as they grow in this weary world that they will always have this beautiful special place for each other in their lives and in each other’s hearts.
