We arrived jet lagged but ready for adventure! We visited the National History Museum to get an over all picture of Mongolia. This provided an excellent overview for understanding the country we would be traveling. We then visited the Zaisan Memorial, a monument build by the Russians to commemorate unknown soldiers from various wars. The memorial sits high up on a hill giving views of Ulaanbaatar below. The trains were used in Mongolia and the museum was set off a busy road in Ulanbaatar. We spent the evening at a restaurant traditional mongolia music and dancing.
