These photos were taken at the Butterfly House during my travels on July 26, 2006. They were taken in Sioux Falls South Dakota. All of the butterflies pictured were alive and more difficult to shoot than you would think! We had a great time and stayed for hours trying to catch the elusive flutterings in a candid shot! Hope you enjoy this colorful bit of nature! Thanks for visiting. I would like to dedicate this gallery to my friend Lois. She lost her battle with cancer and loved this day we spent in Sioux Falls shooting the butterflies.
Thanks for inviting me . . . these are beautiful! I especially like 11. This isn't a common "butterfly shot" and this one shows the wings and face beautifully. I like looking a butterfly in the eye. :-)
The other one I like is 23; I like all sorts of camouflage in nature.
