There was a popular Finnish trio called Harmony Sisters. Harmony Sisters was a very famous Finnish singing group, the first kind in Finland in that genre.
It was founded by three sisters (Vera, Maire and Raija Valtonen) in mid 30's.
They were famous also in Europe, especially in Germany and Sweden, by recording songs in many languages and genres, like jazz, swing, schlager and chanson.
Harmony Sisters has a kind of a cult reputation in Finland among the "girl group-genre". Their songs were very popular creating nostalgy and beauty in the minds of people. There was no TV then, only radio. Therefore there was an old radio in this performance where the listeners could hear old news and interviews of the "original" Harmony Sisters! The program was very nicely planned.
The members of this trio are not sisters, but they are connected by the love to the old songs and strong professonal skills in singing - they are all teachers of music, voices being alto, mezzo and soprano. Thus the clothing and hairdo, too. They were being accompanied by piano.
