On 25 November 2005 I went with a group to Playa La Flor to watch sea turtle nesting. Our group watched dozens of them crawl in from the sea, lay eggs and return to the sea. Some of the nests were hatching and we helped protect some of the younglings return to the sea. The conservationists said it was important for the young to smell the sand so they will remember which beach they should return. It was an amazing day!
