David R. Waller, 51, of Warsaw, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born April 27, 1952, in Bonne Terre, a son of Clarence and Mary Kirby Waller. On Jan. 31,
1981, in Columbia, he was married to Mary Mills, who survives of the home.

Mr. Waller grew up in the Salem and Vibernum areas. He was a 1970 graduate of Salem High School.
He received a bachelor of science degree in fisheries management from the University of Missouri-
Columbia in 1974. He worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation for 30 years. He worked at
Montauk State Park in Salem from 1981 to 1986 and at Hunnewell State Park from 1986 to 1998. He
then moved to Warsaw, where he oversaw the building of the Lost Valley Fish Hatchery which he
managed. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He was associate pastor and youth minister of First United Methodist Church in Warsaw. He was the
youth minister at Licking United Methodist Church from 1981 to 1986. He was pastor of Florida
United Methodist Church for more than 10 years. After moving to Warsaw, he was the pastor of
Edwards United Methodist Church. He was involved in missionary work, making several trips to Nicaragua.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sierra, of the home; a son, Daniel Waller, of Warsaw; his mother,
of Potosi; a brother, Gary Waller, of Greenwood; and a granddaughter.

He was predeceased by his father; and his grandparents.
