Fiestas Patronales is common throughout
Nicaragua. On this day the town, village or
city celebrates the Patron Saint. San Juan del
Sur's patron saint, John the Baptist is honored
on June 24. The town celebrates with a
variety of games, bull riding, dancing,
fireworks, and music.
