Rosalee Baker

December, 2006

Since my last comments, things have changed considerably.

Because my realty company and rental management company was getting too large, I sold the rental management, and now have only the realty part - Cricket Realty of Daphne, AL. My husband still has Ideal Business Brokers.

Instead of my second grandchild, I now have three little girls: Samantha Jean (5), Isabella Ruth (3), and Abigail Jessica (2). My son, Rich, is in Iraq on the military base flying Drone Planes for Boeing. He is an engineer with them in St. Louis, Mo. They sent him over in August through March, 2007. My daughter-in-law, Stefanie, is keeping the home fires burning with my three little ones. Pray for her and my son, please.

My daughter, Ashley Rose, graduated with a graduate degree in education and is teaching math in Wetumpka, AL; a suburb of Montgomery, AL. She taught math. Pray for her, also.

My life is hopefully slowing down; we purchased a second home in Tennessee for a 'getaway' hopefully to split our time 50/50. It is on 3.5 acres with a pond in Humboldt, Tennessee, where my husband grew up. I have a sister in Lexington, TN, 45 minutes to the East and another sister in Olive Branch, MS, 45 minutes to the West. Maybe I can make some of the monthly dinners now.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and A Blessed New Year. If I can muster up the courage, I will send an updated picture. I take terrible photos - maybe because they look too much like me.

Love to all...

Cricket

The Original Message

In case you haven't heard, I am on standby to be a grandmother for the 2nd time. I just might get the call any day, or it could be a week or two (due date is June 9). I am going to try my best to get there; I would love to see everyone.

Briefly, I now have a real estate company in Daphne, Alabama (Eastern Shore of Mobile), called Cricket Realty and Management. My husband owns and operates Ideal Business Brokers; we're both in the same field, sorta'.

My son graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and works for Boeing. He and his wife are expecting my second grandchild.

My daughter graduated in meteorology at University of South Alabama and will be attending Auburn University. to get her graduate degree to teach high school math.

I have another daughter, Jessica, who died when she was seven months old, would now be 23. She is with Jesus; so, I do not have to worry about her at all.

When we left Memphis, we moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi for two years, then, to Daphne, Alabama, where we have been for over 20 years and love it.

I'm not real sure of the likeness to myself. I'm not a real good judge.

Hope this helps. Look forward to seeing you at reunion.

Cricket (Rosalee)

P.S. My husband's name is Rodney Alan Wallsmith. Address is: 118 Woodside Drive, Daphne, AL 36526

Sept. 2011

My niece, Emma Claire White, Lexington, TN will be 4 years old in January. She was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago. It is the aggressive, fast growing kind of cancer. Her chances were slim to none. She started out at Vanderbilt and ended up at St. Jude. She was their poster child and went to New York and had her picture taken with Marlo Thomas. She might be in your solicitation package from St. Jude. Watch for her. She has had surgery, chemo (several times) and radiation. When St. Jude did her last scan, they called an emergency meeting with the parents and told them they were sending her home with Hospice. She didn't have but a few days.

Now for the real story! She is very much alive and well. We are continuing to pray for total recovery daily, which I am asking that all of you do. We believe God is a jealous God and wants and demands all the glory for her healing; so, even though we are very grateful to Vanderbilt and St. Jude, we are praising God that the complete credit for her manifestation of healing will be His. She needs to continue to eat, keep it down and gain strength. The tumor affected her right side; her smile is a little crooked, but precious, and her right leg was dragging some. However, we know all of this will change, and she will be completely whole. Her name, 'Emma Claire', when rearranged, spells "ME A MIRACLE", which she certainly is. St. Jude calls minimum of once a week to check on her and are continuously surprised when her dad tells them, "We are doing great". In advance, thanks for your prayers joined with ours.

Sept 14, 2011 update on Emma Claire

Even though she is eating a lot of food, she has lost weight, down to 28 lbs. The nurse is bringing an IV for her today for an hour. They hope this will jump start her. Also, her right hand and leg are atrophying. Our thoughts are these: all of these are outside symptoms, designed by the enemy to discourage us. However, the devil doesn't know who he is dealing with. Emma Clair's prayer partners do not give up. When we've done all to stand, we STAND. According to Job 22:28, we shall declare a thing; and it shall be brought to pass (By God Himself). Our declaration is Emma Clair will live and not die; she will proclaim the works of the Lord. AMEN.
