This morning's Commercial Appeal reports the death Friday of Linda Wiggs Hope, CHS'63 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto.

LINDA WIGGS HOPE

Southaven - Linda Wiggs Hope, 65, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 7 at Forest Hill South with visitation Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Mrs. Hope was a 1963 graduate of Central High School in Memphis, a member of Getwell Road United Methodist Church and was employed by Fed Ex for the past 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert E. and Irma L. Wiggs and one sister, Patricia Slaughter. She leaves her husband of 44 years, Jim Hope; a son Jimmy Hope, a daughter, Andrea Orman (Richie) and grandson, Logan Orman, also one sister, Nancy Wiggs. I never left the Memphis area and am currently living in Southaven, Mississippi. Jim and I have been married for 36 years and have a son and a daughter. Jim is retired and finds it hard to believe he ever had time to go to work. I've been at FedEx for the past 15 years and was a stay-at-home Mom before that.
