JAMES MARSHALL HAMBY, OUR MICRO PREEMIE MIRACLE GRANDSON, BORN 12-29-06 AKRON, OHIO GOES HOME FROM VANDERBILT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, NASHVILLE, TN, 07-02-07

Greetings:

I am sorry I have been so long in sending a message of thanksgiving to all of you for your prayers. We are so blessed because GOD IS SO GOOD! We spent five wonderful days with our children. James is growing...13 oz. in one week! He continues on follow up doctor visits and is doing well with tender loving care from Mom and Dad. They work as a team in everything for him. A home health nurse is also attending James. I will send more photos of a "happy baby" later. All this car seat stuff was a bit frustrating as you can see! We celebrated Dad Morris' 36th birthday on 7-05. It was a very emotional time when all of us realized more fully the great gift the Lord has blessed us with in this child, who was in a 2 % survival rate for his weight and gestational age. Many of the Vanderbilt doctors said James was a "miracle". We are sure of it!! James looks so much like Morris as a baby. It brought back such loving memories for this granny! St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Murfreesboro have been so kind, and Fr. Matt visited the family when they came home. I think Melissa best described the homecoming, "This is a holy day!"

With a heart of gratitude, I am sending love and prayers for health and healing for all of you dear ones. You will never know how much your encouraging e-mails, calls and other acts of kindness have meant to the Hambys these past 6 months!
