I went out with Finley a few times in the summer while I was in college. I recently saw that he had died. So sorry. Was he sick? I no longer live in Memphis and just thinking of old times and friends. My condolences to the family . It looks like he died the same day my father did. 😢😢🍀

The drummer in those days was Bill Lineberry, a recording engineer that worked with me.

I played music with Finley in 1968, along with John Wulff. Finley was a great singer and could really woo the girls. With Finley was Billy Turner & Greg Green - vocals and organ
Wulff on guitar and I played the bass. can't remenber who drummed, but it was not Charley Jolly. Finley is pictured in the Garage Band book with the Scepters from 1965 or so. Sold him a 1950 plymouth. later my mother heard from him as he had found the Lord and was tryng to right some things in his life. He did not have anything he needed to right with me. Finley was such a natural talent & if you did not know him and you heard him for the first time without seeing him, you would think he was a black singer! so much soul!!
