This is my 36th year with Shelby County Schools and it will be my last as I plan on retiring in June '05. After graduating from Central I attended Memphis State, like so many others, completing my Bachelor's of Science in '69 and a Masters of Science in Teaching in '74. After 17 years in the classroom I accepted an administrative position at our Central Office and I'm currently the Director of Technology. My wife Elaine, whom I met while we both taught at the same school in the SCS system, have been very happily married for 25 years and still live in Shelby County on what we consider our little 60 acres of paradise in the Northeast corner of the county. Shelby County Schools has been good to me, and I have enjoyed my career in Education, but must admit I'm looking forward to retirement after 36 years.
