I attended Tulane University from 1963 to 1968 attaining a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Upon graduation I was drafted & immediately embarked to Alaska to join the Army Reserve. Alaska is a love or hate environment, & I have experienced both beginning with the latter.
They say to be a real Alaskan, you either have to be born here, or you have to leave here FOREVER at least once. I left Alaska FOREVER in 1973 to live in San Francisco. I returned in 1975 to open my own architectural practice. I have one grown child, Nicole, who lives in Fairbanks. I continue to live in Anchorage with my wife, Linda.
