Jimmy Boswell

"Nothing lasts forever—not even your troubles" ("daboz" web site)
After my Central days, I attended Memphis State, graduating in 1968. Two days after graduation the Navy requested I fly to Charleston, SC to begin the two years of active duty I had committed to. I was stationed in Jacksonville, FL with an attack squadron and did a ten month tour in Vietnam.

Returning to Memphis in 1970, I bummed around a bit, riding my motorcycle until I decided I better earn a living. I took a job in advertising, working in Memphis and was transferred to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1973. Married a Bartlett girl, Diane Fulghum, in 1974. I took an advertising job in the music distribution business in 1976 and ended up in Brighton, Michigan... just outside of Detroit until around 1981. Left that company and went back to Little Rock and joined an advertising agency... and then another, doing account service work.

I was recruited by the John Malmo agency in Memphis and ended up back in Memphis in 1988. The agency merged with Ward Archer and Associates to form the largest ad agency in this area, archer>malmo. I am one of the partners who bought the agency in 2001. I continue to be involved with account work and plan on continuing in the business for a few more years.

I have two daughters, Kim is married and Allyson is on the way to the alter. I also have a son, Cody and two grandthings. I live in Cordova, on the eastern edge of Memphis... or as I like to point out... "where I used to go to camp".
