More recently Kelly has been volunteering with Red Cross as a Shelter Supervisor in Disaster Response deployed to evacuation shelters for the Thomas Fire in Ventura, Ca 12/2017, Hawaii 5&6/2018 for the Kiluea erruption, 11/2018 as Spiritual Care after Hurricane Michael in Florida, later to North Carolina in anticipation of Hurricane Dorian, as virtual Client Lodging Coordinator for 4 fire evacuations in CA in 2020, and 2 weeks in TX caring for unaccompanied children March 2021. Between all these also serving as a Blood Services Ambassador (donor greeter/screener) at least 2X a month.

Kelly Frankiewicz ...
a resident of Huntington Beach, holds a BA in Studio Art/Fine Art from Oberlin College, Ohio, with classes at The Glassell School of Art, Houston, Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, and The Dayton Art Institute, Dayton Ohio. Her earlier work was in ceramics and graphic arts.
ca. 1983 - in illustration,
ca. 87-95 – graphic wall art in her mathematics classroom at Mater Dei HS, Santa Ana, ca. 2001 - watercolor illustration and plein air art.
“Dawn of Understanding” a sample of her earlier work, was deeply influenced by her pursuit of ordination through the Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena. Prints of it are available on 5x7 greeting cards at HB Art Center in the greeting card rack, 538 Main Street, HB.
An example of her recent graphic commercial art may be seen on the acrylic- on-canvas shop banner outside Tile Matters at 160 E. Main Street, Tustin. Her 2016-2017 works are acrylic on canvas expressing rhythm and “Dawn of Understanding: movement inspired by the rhythms, variety, textures and emotions of life.
