Ceildh, I just saw that you had commented on a couple photos in my Smug Mug gallery earlier this month. Thanks for the comments and sorry for not having responded earlier. In response to your question, the photo of the azaleas was taken just before sunset. I may have enhanced it a little in PP, but the lighting really was quite remarkable.
Celidh, Celtic name?. Thanks for your visit on the Sigma 150-500 gallery. We love our birds and try to take care of them, the photography came much later...
The Sigma is a great lens for the price and one should not be pixel pickers but just enjoy the shots of nature for what they are. Since I've moved to more expensive Nikon lenses, only use the Sigma on occasions when I need a light, easily handled lens on the road. Thanks again for your comments and bravo for your shots, Peter
