These pictures were mostly taken at my allotment in Bristol (UK) or in my greenhouse.
Some show plants I'm very proud of. Many other show ones that "went wrong" and I
needed to show them to other people to get advice! Feel free to leave comments below any picture.
Hi Mike, yes the garlic for 2006 came from the IOA Garlic Farm. So far it has been a bumper crop. I've hung on for he later varieties - some have done well, some seem smaller, but have had less rain. Colin

Hi Colin. I think you got your Garlic from The Garlic Farm IOW, right? Mine look just like yours. I also got some Thermidrome from the Organic Gardening Catalogue, and that's done well also. I have an allotment in Bedford. The books I've read give the advice in blue: it's safer to dig up too early than too late. Last year and 2004 I got a lot of mouldy and soft bulbs, perhaps, as you say, because we got rain at the wrong time. This year we've had just the right amount. In addition, I put a deal of ash in the ground after digging up spuds, and that's where I grew the garlic. [I meant to post this to forum, but they wouldn't let me in!]
