Usually fine tuning the screen-settings or using the right ICC-profile will do wonders, for more accurate colors a screen calibrator can be used but for most an overkill.
When you can see all the variations of the RGB, SMYK and grayscale and the prime-colors looks right your screen is right calibrated.
Most people has their screens way to bright, to high contrast and much too saturated (strong colors) to be able to enjoy most images at Pbase.

It was really meant for non photographers tho, like my friends and others that has no clue how bad their screens setups are :-)
Yes they match good enough considering they are jpgs converted from TIFs.
