Thank you, Celia, for posting this richly humane gallery. It includes many examples of incongruities that stir the imagination and the emotions of your viewers. So many of these images tell their stories in human terms, and you have organized many of them quite brilliantly. While detail is often made less visible by the smallish sizing of your files, many of these images are strong enough to rise above that handicap, and reach out to us, asking questions, demanding answers, triggering our imaginations in so many different ways. You told me that you are shy about photographing people. Yet you managed to overcome your fears in so many different ways and situations here. You make me very proud to be your photographic mentor, and I am very proud that you are among my most substantive photographic critics. Congratulations on this gallery -- it deserves much close attention.
