Singapore is famous for its local cuisine and potporri of all kinds of oriental food as there are many races in Singapore - Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasians (eh? whats that? Singaporeans with European and Asian blood and also some of Portugese blood), Peranakaan (Straits Born Chinese - Chinese who have stayed in Singapore very long and have their own culture, speaks malay instead of chinese. Apart from that we have a huge population of expatriates from all over the world.
Shown also will be stalls that are famous for their food and very popular with the locals and of course also famous hawker centres for tourist such as Newton Circus.

Thank you Alex. I have been neglecting this a bit and will make greater effort in improving this. Have taken up the hobby of cooking and will start posting on some of my favourite dish as well.

Im from Brisbane and we are having a SIngapore Hi-Tea this weekend for the members of the Singapore Club here. I cant seem to find a pic of Mang Chang Kueh, Can anyone help please ???

ever tried sri bistari changi village famous nasi ayam penyet? one in changi and the other in sedapura foodcity, mallay village.. the 1st n the original!

Thanks EK Chua for the lobster you'll need to go to Malaysia Pengerang, 1 kilo Rm90 about S$42 and really really nice. Sorry lobster not in Singapore.
