Patty's hair pulling pic
by Gary Martin

In the original http://www.pbase.com/rowstymitt/image/81506364), the sharpest focus was on the bib and not the face and eyes. To try and compensate for this, I tried the following steps.
1. Duplicate the image in a new layer (CTRL J)
2. Apply Gaussian blur set at 0.8
3. Add a layer mask (white)
4. Switch back to the original layer (background)
5. Apply unsharp mask to this (set to 150%, 0.4, 0)
6. Select the top laywer copy and with the foreground color set to black, use a soft brush to paint away the blur on the face to reveal the sharpening underneath.

wow - I had no idea you could do all that to change the focus. It looks so much better. Thanks!
