Anglesey Neolithic Burial Chamber
by John Routerer

Anglesey North Wales

Around 3000 years BC a small "Henge" was built here (a circle of standing stones.)
Shortly after that the stones were deliberately damaged and this burial mound built over the top.
Representing a rival "Religion" this would have served the local neolithic farming community.
That is a part of Snowdonia in the background, on the North Wales mainland.

This has a mythical look to it with the colors and scenes in both foreground and background. Did you enhance this at all?

Great sky John with the snow capped hills, I agree with Joe a slight turn to the right and up a bit bringing the stone forward and little less of the mound. Good colour and detail and the history is a plus...........Jess.

I'd agree with what's already been said...the history makes this a top shot, as do those amazing mountains in the background, and the color! Beautiful processing!!!

The history alone makes this fascinating and the pretty scenery just adds overall to the total image.

Nice shot John. I love the background mountains and sky too. A slight turn to the right and up a bit and this would be prefect for me.
