Hard to describe what grabs my interest in this photo, but I think it's the contrast of the soft texture of the leaves with the harsh, sharp spikes. I like this a lot.

Nice shot, I think that you have to view the large version to really appreciate the picture. Patterns upon patterns, like a fractal. Good work!
