Neat old barn! The extra stuff in the foreground is a problem I face often - which is why I love my zoom lenses. Could you use a zoom - stand way back from another angle and zero in on the barn alone that way? You could crop the road out?

Actally, maybe if you stood a bit higher up..the grass can always be cloned in..
I'm sure a bit of sharpening will fix the softness.. Maybe if you get closer to the barn on your knees facing the lens halfway up.. I don't think it's that bad..

Too much grass in the foreground, also that strip of roadway. Those are clutter and you need to eliminate all the clutter you can from your photos. So I'd try a different angle if you can reshoot the barn. It also looks a bit soft the camera was probably focusing on the grass and not the barn.
