Bayside sunset
by J Bryan Kramer

St Joseph State Park, FL

Sunset photo taken looking east, the actual
sunset was behind me. The colors are more
subdued but still interesting.

This is so stunning, the colors are just superb! So nice and simple, but what an impact!

An absolutely stunning image! You should be proud. And the centering makes it all the more powerful. [It's not a shadow, it's a reflection.]

would make a lovely book cover. well shot!

It's not a shadow but a reflection in the water.. I think the cent has it's appeal..
Only the lonely..
Lovely shot...

The heron helps bring out the beauty of the shot.

That's strange, the sun is behind me actually on the oher side of the peninsula at this point. The bird wasn't photoshoped in either.

Great entry for a LONELY assignment.

Interesting composition, nice sky reflection and colour. Pity the bird is centred, if it had been in the lower left and it would have made this a much better image. Well done on the exposure and colour.

Very interesting, sad and lonely composition! I agree that it would be more dramatic if the egret was off-centred. It has an hypnotic appeal to it. Janet

It looks like he's standing on the sky, I like the effect here.

all the blues and pinks are beautiful--I think I would have preferred if the bird was off centre a bit more but it's still a very pretty image.

Love this seascape, the light is quite stunning. Doesn't the bird shadow suggest that the sun is in front of you?
