this little guy was soooooooooooo small.
i'd say only millimeters big! he was actually hiding (by staying perfectly still) from another spider that was very close by.
my photo taking gave him the opportunity to make his escape, which is where i caught him in this photo -- just before the wind carried him off.

there is a photo showing both spiders in the same picture to give you an idea how small he was.
the big spider you see in the other photo is only about 1/4 inch from tip to tip

these guys really took the lens right to the limit of usability.
