Boy meets beetle

Backlit with sun low in the sky behind, flash fill and the mutlicolored plastic play set made a hard situation to color balance.
The full size crop at the right shows the click beetle (Alaus oculatus) that was fascinating my grandson.

Great use of fill in flash! - did you use internal or external flash? If external, was it Canon or third party (i.e. Sigma)
