This is my Mun sitting on the porch of the brand new
house my Mom and Dad purchased way out in Reseda, in the
middle of the San Fernando Valley (which is actually
located in the Los Angeles City limits.

Prior to this move, we lived in the little converted
coach house that was adjacent to Mun's home. She saw
me every day, and we were always together.

It didn't occur to me, until today when I was working on
this old snapshot how terrible that must have been for her.
If ever someone lived for their children, and even more so
for the grandchildren, it was she. There was no freeway
at this time, and my grandmother didn't drive anyway. She
looks very sad in this photo, as she is seeing the new house...
Kids have no awareness of adult feelings at the time. I wish
I had known...
