NOTE TO EBAY BUYERS: I apologize. Someone pointed out at that 1.5x or 1.6x magnification with digital cameras, this lens is actually a 300-600mm (1.5x) or a 320-640mm (1.6x), depending on the magnification ratio of your digital camera. I cannot change the item description since people have already started to bid, but wanted to change it here in case anyone was curious about the magnification. This is a gallery I created when I first purchased the Tamron 200-400 to use with my Nikon D70. I found f9 actually worked very well and I was able to get some good results. I use it mostly for wildlife shots. This lens allows for some pretty fast focusing, as you can see with the images of the swans -- which were fleeing every time I approached them. I usually shoot at 200ISO since it's the lowest the D70 will allow. After some hesitation, I recently decided to sell this lens on eBay at the following address: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&item=300001298968&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 . I'll be purchasing a zoom with a longer focal length to replace it.
