Beautiful lights and shadows construction.

So subtle and evocative. You are pulling my memories out of my mind. Your processing technique just adds to that feeling. Wonderful!

This is a great way to contemplate the vastness of the universe.
David Clunas30-Jan-2007 22:52
like the contrasts of scales between the shadows and fir leaf, nice one

Minimalist and beautiful.

I'm quite lost for words and can't add much without repeating what others have wonderfully said. Just my deepest awe and my biggest vote.

The thumb was showing me a planet with its rings... Beautiful image.

Great shot

Beautiful photo. It's as if the last inkling of life in the area has finally admitted defeat to the snow.

! The simplicity of this image, belies it's deepness...I sat here staring for a while. So empty, yet so full of details. Brilliant Craig. K

I've just been looking at Jude's post today (it's the thumbnail before this one on my favs) and the tones are very similar and equally as effective. A pair of classacts indeed.

simply beautiful, well doen.

Very stark beauty you've captured here, Craig-- the toning and shadows give a real palpable sense of desolation. v.

Beautiful warm winter image. Vote.
Guest 29-Jan-2007 05:47
Trying to hold to something, but pushed by the wind. Nobody sees the snow that color, Craig, but it is darn good. Vote.
Guest 29-Jan-2007 05:34
A signature shot. What makes this so interesting is that you have no relative perspective - no sense of scale. You could be inches from the subject (small twig) or a great distance away (a tree). Nice.
Guest 29-Jan-2007 05:13
HUmm look like a some thing fell on the snow from some were.
It mich be a part of that The Man Who Fell to Earth

Excellent vision, Craig. Vote

Awesome. Loved what jude wrote - it absolutely does look like that. that twig has staggered a few last steps and now rests gasping for air in the late winter sun. this is minimalism, no - this is craigism - at its best.

"...like dust in the wind..." beautiful essay on fragility!
jude28-Jan-2007 23:52
Exhausted in winter.. love the tones ;)
Doug Kessler28-Jan-2007 23:48
Stark and luscious minimalism.
It looks as though the twig has drug itself to that spot and could go no further.
Excellent, Craig!
