Another interesting one to start a new year. Great light and depth. What I really like is the similar direction and spread that both the bird and the branches seemed to have. Clever!

Wonderful image ... I like the combination of the imaginary bird and the natural here.
Great comp and tones

Birdwatching and fridge magnets meet in the middle :)

Just superb - I'm with Chuck, love the humo(u)r in this one. Vote

PS: fantastic image, by the way. Love the contrast between man made and nature...
and the almost minimalistic quality of it.

Like Tim, I like the idea of "flying away" for another year (not necessarily Christmas...)
Hope this flight is for a serene and happy New Year.

Rob Rosetti02-Jan-2007 19:37
LOL! From the thumbnail I've thought to a nature shot. Excellent!
Chuck Inglefield02-Jan-2007 16:46

Spectacular lighting! I am with René. All pure Canadian symbols.

Ending 2006 with Canadian tails and starting 2007 with Canada Goose in flight is what I call "avoir de la fuite dans les idées" (oups! I mean 'suite'). Excellent.
Guest 02-Jan-2007 01:16
lol! I saw the thumb and thought "OMG how does he do it, he is relentless, amazing etc...", Thank god for wood!!
Guest 02-Jan-2007 01:15
neat. happy new year.
Guest 02-Jan-2007 01:07
very cool visual rhyming
and the range of monochrome values is very nice
Guest 02-Jan-2007 00:41
Isn't there a Chrsitmas goose? Or is it they only roost at certain places at Christmas?
Anyway, I like the allusion to Christmas flying away for another year.
Happy new year by the way Craig!
Guest 02-Jan-2007 00:03
love the contrast of forms and light togheter under the frustrated desire to fly...
Faye White02-Jan-2007 00:03

Happy New Year!
